The main rule is simple: leather and water do not match 100%. Therefore, the best way to clean it is with a damp cloth (almost dry), very well twisted, without any type of chemical (this in the pieces of smooth leather, the suede pieces are stained or darker with any type of water). No neutral soap, detergents or alcohol, as well as washing machines or dryers.
ISART clothing is a very special fusion of leather + fabrics (metals and stones), so the fabric parts can be washed by hand without wetting the leather part. Leather is a more sensitive material and colors change and also dry a lot. The leather parts can be cleaned with a damp cloth and appropriate products.

What the brand and our clients advise is:

- In the case of a skirt (short or long): Put the leather belt part in a plastic bag and tie it with something so that it does not get wet, then wash the hand the fabric part with your usual detergent.

- In the case of a Necklace Top: Put the leather collar part in a plastic bag and tie it with something so it does not get wet, then wash the hand the fabric part with your usual detergent.The part that ties at the back we usually wash without any problem.

- In the case of a Top attached to the neck: The top and bottom are woven and can be washed by hand without wetting the part of the 'belt'. That is, it will be washed in pieces. Tops that have a chest frame with thin leather parts are fine to wash with the fabric. Be careful with metals.

-In the case of a vest: you should clean it with a damp cloth with liiiittle water and no detergent, so as not to stain the real leather. Smooth leather is easier to maintain than suede, for example, which can stain.

Do not dry the leather parts directly in the sun, as they will dry, change color and sometimes can open cracks.

Our fabrics are of quality and the colors do not normally change, but the leather can change its color if it is washed like a normal clothe. Most of our metals are prepared with products, but the water cant also does not match with them, as it is like a collar or as a belt, they are not dishwasher safe. Normally when we take water from festivals, there is no problem, but for greater durability we should not immerse the metals in water and detergent, and also clean them with a damp sponge or wipe.

Usually professional laundries know how to handle leather parts if you need help. And for a long duration you can buy special products for leather, usually in shoe stores or professionals who arrange shoes.

The leather and the derivatives of chamois are animal skin and are subject to fungal attack, especially when stored in humid and dark places. Leather clothing should never be stored in plastic bags because this type of material creates moisture and favors the proliferation of fungi on the skin. Regarding skirts, they should not be hung with pants hangers because the belts can be marked.
